the visit

The park is open every day, with operating hours that lengthen for summer and holiday peaks. A single-day, single-park ticket runs in the $120 to $140 range depending on date; multi-park and Park-to-Park options unlock the Hogwarts Express between Diagon Alley here and Hogsmeade in Islands of Adventure. Universal Express skip-the-line access is included with rooms at the three Premier resort hotels (Portofino Bay, Hard Rock, Royal Pacific) and sold separately otherwise. Strollers, ECVs, and wheelchairs rent at the front gate.

the year

Universal runs four major seasonal overlays. Mardi Gras takes the New York and Production Central streets from late January through April with nightly parades and concerts. Halloween Horror Nights runs after-hours on selected nights from late August through early November and is the park's largest annual event by attendance. Holidays in the Wizarding World projection-maps the Hogwarts Express and Diagon Alley through December, and the year closes with a New Year's Eve party in the main lagoon plaza.

common questions

What people ask.

A few questions we get about Universal Studios Florida — and about bringing the piece home.
about the place

Universal Studios Florida sits on Universal Boulevard in north Orlando, about 12 km northeast of downtown and roughly 25 km from Walt Disney World. It is part of the larger Universal Orlando Resort complex.

The park opened on 7 June 1990 as Universal's first theme park outside Hollywood, California. It was originally built around a working back-lot for film and television production, with rides designed around active soundstages.

Diagon Alley is the second of Universal Orlando's two Wizarding World of Harry Potter lands, opened on 8 July 2014 inside Universal Studios Florida. It contains Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts and links by Hogwarts Express to Hogsmeade.

Universal Studios Florida covers about 440 acres, including back-lot and parade facilities. The full Universal Orlando Resort, which also includes Islands of Adventure, Volcano Bay, Epic Universe, and CityWalk, covers roughly 1,100 acres in total.

A separately ticketed after-hours event held on selected nights from late August through early November. It transforms the park into a series of haunted houses and scare zones based on horror films, original concepts, and licensed properties.

Universal Studios Florida is the movie-and-television-themed park; Islands of Adventure is the cinematic-adventure park, with Marvel Super Hero Island and Hogsmeade. They share the Hogwarts Express and a common entrance plaza at CityWalk.

about the piece in your home

Yes. For many Florida families and lifelong fans, Universal Studios is a generational landmark on par with Walt Disney World. A Medium or Large with a handwritten studio note carries well.

The warm cinema lights, brick-front streets, and lagoon blues sit well in Cinema-room, American-pop, and warm-eclectic interiors. The palette has more colour than most of our pieces and reads as celebratory rather than quiet.

Yes. The current wave of theme-park collector interiors favours framed maps, attraction-poster art, and recognisable park imagery in place of generic merchandise. A Universal Studios Florida tile fits the vocabulary directly.

A single Large reads cleanly above a standard three-seat sofa. The 4-tile Mural carries the park's skyline across a wider wall, and the 9-tile Mural suits a media room or playroom feature wall.

Yes, with the Dura Satin or Matte finish. Both are scratch-resistant and handle the humidity of a bath wall or the splash zone behind a sink without affecting the colour.

A soft microfibre cloth and clean water. No solvents, no abrasive pads, no glass cleaner. The colour lives in the surface, so normal cleaning will not lift it.

Yes. Every WenderVista tile is original to our studio in Knoxville, Tennessee. We do not license outside artwork or resell stock images. Reid Wender curates and paints the atlas, one place at a time.
