— — a village wrapped around a smaller lake.
“The village called Lake Placid actually sits on Mirror Lake, the smaller water in the centre of town. Main Street runs along its eastern shore, with the shops, the Crowne Plaza, and the long view across to Mirror Lake Inn. The larger Lake Placid lies a short walk north over a low ridge. Mirror Lake is the one people picture: the skaters on the public oval in winter, the canoes and paddleboards in summer, the loop trail around the shore that locals walk before dinner. The Olympic flame still burns on the lakefront.
Each tile is finished by hand in our Knoxville studio. Artwork is slowly infused into the ceramic surface under high heat and pressure, and rests beneath a thin glossy finish. The colour lives in the surface, not on top of it.
