a note from the studio

Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit rises from the front of Universal Studios Florida, a yellow-and-magenta steel ribbon that climbs 167 feet on a near-vertical lift, then arcs out over CityWalk and the lagoon. Each train carries 24 riders and lets them pick a song from five genres before the climb. The non-inverting loop over the entry plaza is one of the most-photographed views in the park. — from the studio

about Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit

A little of what's known, in case you fall down the rabbit hole — or want to go see it yourself.
the place

Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit is a steel roller coaster at Universal Studios Florida in Orlando, opened to the public on August 19, 2009. It was manufactured by the German firm Maurer Söhne and stands as one of the tallest coasters in the state at 167 feet. Its first hill is a 90-degree vertical lift; the layout that follows covers 3,800 feet of track and reaches a top speed of about 65 miles per hour. The ride sits at the front of the park, threading its loop directly above the main entry plaza on Production Central.

the visit

The minimum height to ride is 51 inches, with a maximum of 79 inches. The queue is at the front of Universal Studios Florida, a short walk inside the main turnstiles, and the ride is part of the Express Pass system on most days. Each car holds two riders, and trains carry 24 in total. A touchscreen on the restraint lets riders select one of more than 30 songs across five genres, including classic rock, country, rap, pop, and club, before the lift hill begins. A staff-only menu of additional tracks is reachable by a code press.

the stone

The coaster's signature element is its non-inverting double-up loop above the park entrance, a shape Maurer engineers called a tilted loop because riders pass through inverted-feeling forces without ever actually going upside down. The track is finished in safety yellow with magenta supports and runs on X-Car trains designed for over-the-shoulder restraints that leave the upper body free. The on-board audio sits in headrest speakers tuned for outdoor playback, and the ride photo system captures both stills and a 30-second music video of each train.

about the piece in your home

It has been a meaningful gift for season-pass holders and Florida-coaster fans. A Keepsake or Small reads well on a desk or shelf; pair with a handwritten note from the studio.

Maximalist, pop-modern, and game-room interiors hold it well. The yellow and magenta tones also sit comfortably in eclectic rooms built around bright accents and dark walls.

Yes. Home game rooms and media dens lean toward a single bold focal piece against deeper walls, which is how this tile reads above a console, bar, or arcade cabinet.

Above a standard sofa, a single Large or a 4-tile Mural sits in proportion. Above a game-room console or bar, a Medium carries the wall without crowding.

Yes, in the Dura Satin or Matte finish. Both are scratch-resistant and made for vertical installation on backsplashes, shower walls, and powder-room features.

A soft microfibre cloth and plain water. No abrasive pads, no ammonia or bleach cleaners. The colour lives in the surface and will not lift.

Yes. Every WenderVista piece is original to our studio in Knoxville, Tennessee. We do not license outside imagery.
